Curél Sebum Care Range

Got goodies in my mail thanks to Sample Store & Curél Singapore!

Received them just in time to salvage my skin condition which has gotten from bad to worse these days 'cuz of the humid weather. FYI, I've combination skin type! Before I introduce the products, let's address a question. If you have oily AND sensitive skin, what products would you choose to purchase/ use? Is it products that help to manage sebum secretion or products that help with skin sensitivity? Most people would choose the latter but that's not enough. The excess sebum that's generated is the source of irritation that causes flare-ups. It is, thus, very important to choose products that are equally good at both- controlling skin sensitivity while reducing sebum secretion.

It's a really simple three-step process. No matter how late you reach home or how tired you are, you just have to take five minutes to do it, super fast isn't it?

Step I:

This ultra-fine foaming wash contains sebum solvent, which helps in the thorough cleansing of dirt and excess sebum while protecting ceramide. Ceramide, the skin's essential ingredient, replenishes & helps to retain moisture and also acts as a natural barrier against external irritants. All you have to do is to apply 2 full pumps directly onto wet skin, gently massage and rinse it off. Do not lather! And also, take note that this should be the step AFTER removal of make-up.

Step II:

Use the Sebum Care Lotion after cleansing, apply twice daily. As the lotion may take a longer time to be absorbed, gently pat your face with clean hands repeatedly to aid absorption. The purpose of this step is to prepare your skin for better absorption of moisturizer/ essence or any product that you apply afterwards. The lotion is just like a toner & it comes out really liquidy, consistency almost similar to that of water, that's why I pumped the product onto my palm.

Step III:

Your usual moisturizer, to keep your face soft and supple *doink doink*. One thing that's unusual about this moisturizer is that it helps in controlling and reducing sebum secretion. Simply 3 to 4 pumps gently over the entire face, twice daily. Tip: always pump/ squeeze your products onto the back of your hand because your palm has more germs & dirt than you think! Unless the consistency is really that watery (e.g. Sebum Care Lotion)

I have just started on the products & I don't think it's fair to review it so soon. The only thing I can say now is that the products does not leave the skin squeaky clean, which is a good thing. It's bad if any product removes all the oil on your skin surface because that would mean MORE oil secretion. I will do an update after using it for 2 weeks so that you guys can check out the before/ after/ difference in my skin condition. Be sure to check back!
