Scenic Spots in Taiwan

This time round, I ventured out of Taipei City and wow, I'm in love with the serenity. My favourite place has got to be Hualien, basically just blown away by the view at Bayview Hotel. I watched the sunrise from my bed and Qixingtan is right outside, perfect morning. I enjoyed myself at other scenic areas as well but the view at Elephant Mountain, Xiangshan was the "hardest to come by" view- one needs to climb endless flights of stairs to get to the observatory deck.

Nanfang'ao, Su'ao Township, Yilan County

• By 1. THSR Taipei Station (or TRA Taipei Station) → TRA Su'ao Station. 2. TRA Yilan Station or TRA Luodong Station → Kuo-kuang Bus (bound for Nanfang'ao) to Nanfang'ao stop.3. TRA Luodong Station → Capital Bus (bound for Nanfang'ao) to Nanfang'ao stop. 

Qingshui Cliff, Suao-Hualien Highway, Hualien County

• By 1.  Take a train to Heren or Chongde station to Qingshui Cliff. 2. Take a train to Hualien Railway Station, take Hualien Bus heading for Chongde and get off at Chongde stop.

Qixingtan Scenic Area, HaiAn Road, Xincheng Township, Hualien County

• By 1. Take a train to Beipu Railway Station, continue by walk to Qixing Lake (Qixingtan).

Taroko National Park, Fushi Village, Xiulin Township 97253 Hualien County

• By 1. Take Freeway No. 3 in Taipei from Nangang or Muzha to connect Freeway No. 5 via Yilan to Su’ao, then from Su’ao connect to the Provincial Highway No 9. (Su-hua highway) to Taroko National Park Headquarters.

• By 1. Take bus at west station of Taipei Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport→Puli →Turn to Nantou Bus for route of Song’gang－Cuifeng, get off at Qingjing Farm station

Sun Moon Lake, No.599, Jhongshan Rd, Yuchih Township, Nantou County

• By 1. Take Kingbus from Taipei West Bus Station Terminal B → Sun Moon Lake  2. Take a THSR train and get off at Taichung Station, transfer via bus to Sun Moon Lake

Golden Waterfall, Ruifang District, New Taipei City

• By 1. Take a local train to Ruifang Station→ Transfer to any bus bound for Jinguashi→ Gold Ecological Park

Yin-Yang Sea, Ruifang District, New Taipei City

• By 1. Take a train to Xiangshan station, head towards Exit 2
